In a vault beneath are deposited the Remains of Robert Durrant, Esq., who died December 13th, 1799, at the advanced age of 84 years. By a regular course of temperance and moderation, he enjoyed his health and faculties with less interruption than usually falls to the lot of humanity.
His manners were unassuming ; his integrity unsullied. This monument was erected by his grateful nephews William, Thomas, John, and Henry Woodward, to whom he bequeathed the bulk of his property.
