Thoughts of summer - a time to rest and let God do some recreation
A life without love is like a year without summer. - Swedish Proverb
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a
summer day Listening to the murmur of water, or watching
the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
- John Lubbock

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul.

scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy;
nothing will harm you. "However, do not rejoice that the
spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written
in heaven." (Luke 11:19-20)

| Everyone has been forgiven of their sins though
Christ's sacrifice, but the majority don't
understand or acknowledge what Jesus has

"When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume, and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.
I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven, for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little."
'"Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

The Collect for the 2nd Sunday after Trinity
Lord, you have taught us
that all our doings without love are nothing worth:
send your Holy Spirit
and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of love,
the true bond of peace and of all virtues,
without which whoever lives is counted dead
before you.
Grant this for your only Son Jesus Christ's sake,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen

Feeling Religious?
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and
faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in
their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted
by the world. (James 1:27)

Get busy Jesus is coming!
In the fast days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great
and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Acts 2:17-21

may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.
May they also be in us so that the world may believe that
you have sent me.

know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for

bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever
you ask in my name. 'This is my command: Love each other."

Every day of your life up to this point in time has now gone
and today is an opportunity to reflect on the past and ask
yourself the question.
'Do I want more of the same or do I long for something
different in life, something better that my heart yearns and
thirsts for, a brighter and more fulfilling future?'
